Educating the Mind and the Heart
As His Excellency Roger J. Foys, Bishop of Covington, is accumstomed to saying, "There are alternatives to Catholic Schools, but there is no substitute." There is no substitute, we believe, because Catholic Education offers a wholistic and integral education. To quote Blessed Basil Moreau, the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, our wonderful teachers at Saint Patrick strive to "always place education side by side with instruction. The mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart. While we prepare useful citizens for society, we shall likewise do our utmost to prepare citizens for Heaven." We strive to train the intellect of our students, cultivate their faith, and instill the virtues necessary for living a good life.

Mrs. Bonnie Davis
Montesorri PreSchool Director
I am a Montessori Director and Lead Teacher for St. Patrick Montessori Preschool. I attended MCTC to pursue my career in Early Childhood Education. While attending MCTC I received an Associates in degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) along with my Directors Certification. While interning at Nativity Montessori School I realized my love for Montessori education. I immediately enrolled at Xavier University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Ohio and Kentucky Certification P-3 and American Montessori Society Certification. I enjoy spending time with family, reading, gardening, hiking and traveling. Montessori is a unique method of teaching developed more than 100 years ago by Italian born physician, educator and peace advocate, Dr. Maria Montessori.
My passion for Montessori comes from its philosophy. The Montessori teaching method uses hands-on, self-correcting materials in a thoughtfully prepared environment that encourages responsibility, independence and confidence. It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child – physical, social, emotional and cognitive.
